🔍 Job Summary
We are looking for a Network Device Domain Expert with strong hands-on experience in SNMP (v1, v2c, v3) and multi-vendor network discovery. In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing our Enterprise Network Monitoring System, enabling deep-level discovery and monitoring across diverse OEM devices.

🛠 Key Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced SNMP-based network discovery mechanisms

Extract deep-level device intelligence beyond standard MIBs across multi-vendor environments

Work with custom and proprietary MIBs, OIDs, and SNMP traps

Evaluate and integrate alternative discovery methods such as NetFlow, Syslog, CLI scraping, and APIs

Troubleshoot and resolve SNMP-related issues across heterogeneous networks

Collaborate with development teams to optimize polling, performance, and data collection

Stay updated on network monitoring trends, security best practices, and emerging technologies
✅ Required Skills & Qualifications

3+ years of hands-on experience with SNMP (v1/v2c/v3), MIBs, OIDs, and device discovery

Strong understanding of TCP/IP, NetFlow, Syslog, CLI-based access, and API-driven monitoring
-
Experience with enterprise networking devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers

Deep exposure to multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, HP, Aruba, Palo Alto, etc.)

Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, OpenNMS, Zabbix
-
Scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Bash

Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Familiarity with SIEM and log analysis is a plus
⭐ Preferred Qualifications

Experience in reverse engineering SNMP MIBs for unknown vendors

Knowledge of YANG, NETCONF, gRPC, or modern network management frameworks
-
Networking certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or equivalent
